A New Start-Up Introduces Itself

Finally our first official video on our new YouTube channel has aired!
This ongoing format with the name The Avatar Creator Devlog is going to be a video journal series about the progress of our website,
our creator and overall, of our whole small business with the lovely name Avatary.
The Team
Our team right now consists of three young and ambitious guys. Besides Chris we have Philipp and Domi. In case you are wondering where our probably harsh and unfunny accent comes from, all three of us have been growing up in a small village next to Munich in Germany and that is obviously the reason why we are so addicted with beer, pretzels, and Lederhosen!
Chris - The Crazy Mastermind
Chris is the creative mastermind behind the Avatary you can say. His official title in the team is Head of Design, which makes him responsible for every UI element you see on the website and on the creator. Chris always wanted to do something creative after school, so he made his bachelor´s degree in media & communication design. Afterwards he started working fulltime as a web interface developer and UX designer in Munich around one and a half years ago. His hobbies besides drawing and doing crazy artistic things are relatively casual, he really much enjoys playing well-designed videogames, hitting the gym when he has the motivation and trying out every new experience the life can offer.
Philipp - The Entrepreneur Guy
Philipp really lives up to the entrepreneur position in the team and is always up to meet new people and opportunities. His official title is Head of Marketing and his passion for marketing, business funding and self-employment has kinda let to the whole project. In the team Philipp is responsible for basically everything the user and customer of our services and marketing channels reads and sees, and he is looking forward that everything works just right according to the business aspects of our company. In his free time, he also likes to play videogames and being active, he especially really enjoys practicing martial arts and playing chess.
Domi - The IT God
Domi is our guy in the team who is responsible for every technical issue we came up to, which gives him the formidable title Head of Development. He is currently working very hard to successfully pass his bachelor´s degree in informatics, which is kinda useful for this whole project here. Besides practicing real live magic stuff with his programming skills, Domi is just a regular guy who also likes playing video games, watching TV shows, and hanging out with family and friends. Domi is especially enthusiastic about competitive games like Counterstrike and Valorant and he really enjoys cooking spicy food!
Our YouTube History
Maybe you already know maybe not, but this YouTube channel here is not the first one we´ve ever hosted. Domi and Chris have run a rather successful German Gaming/Minecraft channel together in their youth with the name DietrockenenBrote and they constantly uploaded videos there between 2011 and around 2016. It really was such a remarkable memory of their childhood to constantly record new videos after school and trying out new things with every upcoming video. Their general content these days was mainly focused around recording gaming commentaries, reviewing mods and new features of Minecraft and playing together with their community.
Besides their captured gaming content, the youngsters also have experimented with real live vlogging videos, which sadly never reached the audience of their Minecraft content. Their most recent and probably also most professional project for this whole channel was the production of a live action short movie they made together with many friends around three years ago. Philipp took an important acting role in the production too and overall you can say that the whole thing was our first project we really managed together as the trio we later would become.
All About This Series
The main inspiration of this ongoing series actually came from various Indie Game Dev Youtubers who mainly make videoblogs about their dream videogame projects. And because our avatar creator is kind of a videogame too, we found it very fitting to also try something like this.
To just name a few of the projects we personally really enjoy watching and that were a huge inspiration for this series, we have the City-Building Game Devlog by ThinMatrix, the business simulation game Lumbermill by BMWDev, the resource gathering game Exo Colony by Obvious Dev and the very charming 2D platformer Pinni´s Tiny Adventure by Andrew Zi Zhen. Especially the passion and love of detail, these awesome people put into their Devlogs, make these videos so amazing and if you are interested in things like this, you definitely need to check them out.
We hope you now have an idea of what kind of videos you can expect in the first place on our new channel. The whole Avatary project thing actually started in the beginning of 2020 and our plan for the first few videos in this series is to continuously remap the last two years of development up to the present point of time. We want to sketch our progress as detailed and as entertaining as possible so we really hope you will like our ambition in doing so.
